Description
The Pixabay Images plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the pixabay_upload function in all versions up to, and including, 3.4. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.
A vulnerability allowing arbitrary file uploads has been identified in the Pixabay Images plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 3.4. This issue arises from inadequate file type validation in the 'pixabay_upload' function. As a result, authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher can upload arbitrary files to the server, potentially leading to remote code execution.
No known patch is available for this vulnerability. It is recommended to uninstall the affected plugin and consider using an alternative.
