Description
The issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in Safari 26.1, iOS 18.7.2 and iPadOS 18.7.2, iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1, visionOS 26.1. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to an unexpected process crash.
A vulnerability in the WebKit component of Apple products, including iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and visionOS, all version 26.1, allows processing of maliciously crafted web content, which can lead to unexpected crashes of the WebKit process. This issue stems from improper memory management, specifically a use-after-free flaw, which can be exploited to cause memory corruption and disrupt normal application functioning.
Users can update to iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1, or visionOS 26.1 to address this vulnerability. Instructions for updating can be found on the Apple Support website.
