Description
The List Children plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'list_children' shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 2.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the List Children plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 2.1. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the 'list_children' shortcode. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which will execute when users access the affected pages.
Users can update to version 2.2.0 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
