Description
Lack of sensitive data encryption in CapillaryScope v2.5.0 of Capillary io, which stores both the proxy credentials and the JWT session token in plain text within different registry keys on the Windows operating system. Any authenticated local user with read access to the registry can extract these sensitive values.
A vulnerability exists in CapillaryScope version 2.5.0 of Capillary io, due to the absence of encryption for sensitive data. The application stores proxy credentials and JWT session tokens in plain text within various registry keys on Windows. This flaw allows any authenticated local user with read access to the registry to retrieve these sensitive values.
Users can upgrade to CapillaryScope version 2.5.1 to address this vulnerability.
