Description
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in ValvePress Rankie valvepress-rankie allows Reflected XSS.This issue affects Rankie: from n/a through <= 1.8.2.
A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the ValvePress Rankie WordPress plugin, affecting versions through 1.8.2. This issue arises from improper input sanitization during web page generation, allowing attackers to inject malicious scripts that are executed when users visit the affected site.
Users of the ValvePress Rankie WordPress plugin are advised to update to the latest version. For those unable to update immediately, a virtual patch is available through Patchstack to mitigate the vulnerability.
