Description
WF2220 exposes endpoint /cgi-bin-igd/netcore_get.cgi that returns configuration of the device to unauthorized users. Returned configuration includes cleartext password. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A vulnerability exists in the Netis Systems WF2220 router, specifically in version 1.2.31706. The device exposes an endpoint that allows unauthorized users to access the device's configuration, including the cleartext administrator password. This vulnerability arises from missing authentication for critical functions, as the endpoint should require proper authorization before disclosing sensitive information.
