Description
The SMTP for Amazon SES – YaySMTP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Email Logs in all versions up to, and including, 1.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the SMTP for Amazon SES - YaySMTP plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.8. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary scripts into email logs. The injected scripts are executed when a user accesses the affected page.
Users can update to version 1.9 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
