Description
An authorization bypass vulnerability exists in ETQ Reliance (legacy CG and NXG SaaS platforms). By appending a specific URI suffix to certain API endpoints, an unauthenticated attacker can bypass access control checks and retrieve limited sensitive resources. The root cause was a misconfiguration in API authorization logic, which has since been corrected in SE.2025.1 and 2025.1.2.

The vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to bypass access control checks on certain API endpoints by appending a specific URI suffix, thereby gaining unauthorized access to limited sensitive resources. While role-based access control (RBAC) is implemented and protects many API resources, there are specific endpoints where RBAC was not enforced, leaving them vulnerable to this attack vector.
Users can update to ETQ Reliance versions SE.2025.1 or 2025.1.2 to address this vulnerability.
