Description
Improper Input Validation vulnerability in The Wikimedia Foundation Mediawiki - Visual Data Extension allows HTTP DoS.This issue affects Mediawiki - Visual Data Extension: from 1.39 through 1.43.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in the Visual Data Extension for MediaWiki, specifically in versions 1.39 through 1.43. The issue arises from improper input validation, where a regular expression of third-degree polynomial complexity is used to process user-provided data. This vulnerability can lead to a HTTP-based denial-of-service attack.
Users can update to Visual Data Extension versions 1.39.12, 1.42.6, or 1.43.1, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
