CVE-2025-3107 Details
Description
The Newsletters plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based SQL Injection via the ‘orderby' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.9.9.8 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
A time-based SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the Newsletters plugin for WordPress, affecting versions through 4.9.9.8. The vulnerability arises from inadequate escaping of user-supplied data in the 'orderby' parameter, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject additional SQL queries. This exploitation could lead to the extraction of sensitive information from the database.
Users are advised to update the Newsletters plugin to version 4.9.9.9 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
