Description
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Aakif Kadiwala Posts Slider Shortcode posts-slider-shortcode allows DOM-Based XSS.This issue affects Posts Slider Shortcode: from n/a through <= 1.0.
A DOM-based cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WordPress Posts Slider Shortcode plugin, affecting versions through 1.0. This issue arises from improper input sanitization during web page generation, allowing malicious actors to inject and execute harmful scripts on the site.
Users are advised to remove and replace the WordPress Posts Slider Shortcode plugin, as it is likely abandoned and will not receive further updates or fixes. Deactivating the plugin does not eliminate the security risk unless a virtual patch is applied.
