CVE-2025-3065 Details
Description
The Database Toolset plugin is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in a function in all versions up to, and including, 1.8.4. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
A vulnerability allowing arbitrary file deletion has been identified in the Database Toolset WordPress plugin, affecting all versions through 1.8.4. This issue arises from inadequate validation of file paths, enabling unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server. Such deletions could lead to remote code execution, particularly if critical files like wp-config.php are removed.
No known patch is available. It is recommended to uninstall the affected plugin and consider a replacement.
