Description
Dell Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) 5.0 Appliance - SRS, version(s) 5.26, Enables Live-Restore setting which enhances security by keeping containers running during daemon restarts, reducing attack exposure, preventing accidental misconfigurations, and ensuring security controls remain active.
A vulnerability exists in Dell Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) 5.0 Appliance - SRS, version 5.26, related to the Live-Restore setting. This setting keeps containers active during daemon restarts, which can reduce exposure to attacks, prevent unintentional misconfigurations, and ensure that security measures remain operational. While this feature enhances usability, it may inadvertently create a window for exploitation by allowing containers to remain active during critical updates or changes.
