Description
A permissions issue was addressed with additional restrictions. This issue is fixed in Safari 18.4, iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4. Loading a malicious iframe may lead to a cross-site scripting attack.
A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in WebKit, the engine used by Safari. This issue arises from a permissions problem that could allow a malicious website to manipulate the content of another site, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or data exposure. The vulnerability is present in WebKit versions bundled with Safari 18.4, as well as in iOS and iPadOS 18.4.
Users can update to Safari 18.4, iOS 18.4, or iPadOS 18.4 to address this vulnerability.
