Description
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in sav WP OpenSearch wp-opensearch allows Stored XSS.This issue affects WP OpenSearch: from n/a through <= 1.0.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WP OpenSearch plugin by Fabio Savina, affecting versions through 1.0. This issue arises from improper input sanitization during web page generation, allowing malicious scripts to be injected and executed on the site.
Users of the WP OpenSearch plugin are advised to update to version 1.0 or later. For those unable to update immediately, Patchstack offers a virtual patch that can be applied to mitigate this vulnerability.
