Description
This High severity PrivEsc (Privilege Escalation) vulnerability was introduced in versions: 9.12.0, 10.3.0, 10.4.0, and 10.5.0 of Jira Core Data Center and Server 5.12.0, 10.3.0, 10.4.0, and 10.5.0 of Jira Service Management Data Center and Server This PrivEsc (Privilege Escalation) vulnerability, with a CVSS Score of 7.2, allows an attacker to perform actions as a higher-privileged user. A high-severity privilege escalation vulnerability has been identified in Atlassian Jira Core Data Center and Server, as well as Jira Service Management Data Center and Server. This vulnerability, present in versions 9.12.0, 10.3.0, 10.4.0, and 10.5.0, allows an attacker to perform actions as a higher-privileged user. The issue arises when a user exports a parent issue using the 'Print' or 'Export Word' feature, as subtask titles and links are included without the user having the necessary view permission.
Atlassian recommends upgrading to the latest version of Jira Core Data Center and Server or Jira Service Management Data Center and Server. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, users can upgrade to one of the specified supported fixed versions. For Jira Core Data Center, versions 9.12.20, 10.3.5, 10.6.0, and 10.5.1 are recommended. For Jira Service Management Data Center, users should upgrade to versions 5.12.20, 10.3.5, 10.6.0, or 10.5.1.
