Description
This vulnerability exists in the Tinxy smart devices due to storage of credentials in plaintext within the device firmware. An attacker with physical access could exploit this by extracting the firmware and analyzing the binary data to obtain the plaintext credentials stored on the vulnerable device.
A vulnerability exists in various Tinxy smart devices, including Wi-Fi locks, door locks, smart switches, and ceiling lights, due to the storage of credentials in plaintext within the device firmware. An attacker with physical access could extract the firmware and analyze the binary data to obtain the plaintext credentials.
Perform a risk assessment and implement physical security controls to prevent unauthorized access to the device. Apply mitigations as per vendor instructions, if available, or discontinue use of the product if no mitigations are provided.
