Description
In wlan AP driver, there is a possible out of bounds write due to an incorrect bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with User execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: WCNCR00435349; Issue ID: MSV-4051.
A heap overflow vulnerability has been identified in the WLAN access point driver of certain MediaTek chipsets. This vulnerability arises from an incorrect bounds check, leading to a possible out-of-bounds write. Exploitation of this vulnerability could allow local escalation of privileges, although it requires user execution privileges. Notably, no user interaction is needed for exploitation.
