Description
Out-of-bounds Read vulnerability in unpack_response (session.c) in libplctag from 2.0 through 2.6.3 allows Overread Buffers via network.
A vulnerability allowing out-of-bounds read has been identified in the libplctag library, specifically in the unpack_response function within session.c. This vulnerability affects versions 2.0 through 2.6.3 and can be exploited over the network, leading to buffer overreads. When the vulnerable function unpacks a malformed EtherNet/IP network packet, it can cause a memory leak in the affected process.
Users are advised to update libplctag to version 2.6.4.
