Description
Improper check for unusual or exceptional conditions vulnerability in SSO in Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) before 7.2.2-72806-5 and 7.3.1-86003-1 (7.2.1-69057 is not affected) allows remote attackers to bypass authentication with prior knowledge of the distinguished name (DN).
A vulnerability allowing remote authentication bypass has been identified in the Single Sign-On (SSO) feature of Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) versions prior to 7.2.2-72806-5 and 7.3.1-86003-1. Version 7.2.1-69057 is not affected. This vulnerability arises from an improper check for unusual or exceptional conditions, allowing attackers with prior knowledge of the distinguished name (DN) to bypass authentication.
Users are advised to upgrade to Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) 7.3.1-86003-1 or 7.2.2-72806-5, depending on their current version.
