A cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability has been identified in Bdtask SalesERP software, specifically in versions prior to 20250728. The issue arises in the user profile update feature, which lacks proper anti-CSRF protections. This vulnerability allows attackers to create malicious websites that, when visited by authenticated users, can forge requests to change profile information, such as email addresses. Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized account access, particularly if an administrator's email is targeted.
To address this vulnerability, implement anti-CSRF tokens in the user profile update forms. Additionally, consider using the SameSite attribute for cookies to prevent them from being sent with cross-site requests.
