Description
The Icegram Express - Email Subscribers, Newsletters and Marketing Automation Plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in versions up to, and including, 5.9.10. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action in the `run_action_scheduler_task` function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute scheduled actions early or repeatedly by guessing action IDs, potentially triggering email sends, maintenance tasks, or other privileged operations, causing unexpected state changes and resource usage.
A vulnerability exists in the Icegram Express - Email Subscribers, Newsletters and Marketing Automation Plugin for WordPress, specifically in versions through 5.9.10. The issue stems from the plugin's failure to properly authenticate users in the 'run_action_scheduler_task' function. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to manipulate scheduled actions by guessing action IDs, potentially causing premature or repeated execution of tasks. Such exploitation could disrupt normal operations by triggering emails, maintenance activities, or other privileged functions, leading to unexpected changes and increased resource consumption.
Users are advised to update the plugin to version 5.9.11 or a newer patched version.
