Description
A vulnerability was determined in SourceCodester Student Grades Management System 1.0. Affected is the function add_user of the file /admin.php of the component Manage Users Page. This manipulation of the argument first_name/last_name causes cross site scripting. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in SourceCodester Student Grades Management System version 1.0. The issue arises in the 'Add New User' feature within the admin panel, specifically in the 'Manage Users' page. The vulnerability is caused by improper input validation of the 'first_name' and 'last_name' fields, which allow the injection of malicious JavaScript. This injected script is executed in the browser of any administrator who views the user list or dashboard, potentially leading to session hijacking or unauthorized administrative actions.
