Description
The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the 'move_as_original_file' function in all versions up to, and including, 4.2.6. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.
A vulnerability allowing arbitrary file uploads has been identified in the Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 4.2.6. The issue arises from inadequate file type validation in the 'move_as_original_file' function, which enables unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files to the server. This vulnerability could potentially lead to remote code execution.
Users are advised to update the Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin to version 4.2.7 or a newer patched version.
