Description
A vulnerability in the SageMaker Workflow component of aws/sagemaker-python-sdk allows for the possibility of MD5 hash collisions in all versions. This can lead to workflows being inadvertently replaced due to the reuse of results from different configurations that produce the same MD5 hash. This issue can cause integrity problems within the pipeline, potentially leading to erroneous processing outcomes.
A vulnerability exists in the SageMaker Workflow component of the AWS SageMaker Python SDK, affecting all versions. This vulnerability arises from the use of MD5 hashes, which are susceptible to collision attacks. Different configurations can produce identical MD5 hashes, leading to integrity issues within workflows. For example, two pipeline configurations with different parameters might generate the same hash, causing the pipeline to incorrectly reuse results from one configuration in the other, potentially leading to erroneous processing outcomes.
The vulnerability has been fixed in the AWS SageMaker Python SDK. Users should update to the latest version.
