CVE-2024-9618 Details
Description
The Master Addons – Elementor Addons with White Label, Free Widgets, Hover Effects, Conditions, & Animations plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via multiple widgets in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.7.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Master Addons for Elementor plugin, specifically in versions through 2.0.7.2. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes across multiple widgets. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary scripts into pages, which are executed when users access those pages.
Users are advised to update the Master Addons for Elementor plugin to version 2.0.7.3 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
