Description
The AVIF Uploader WordPress plugin before 1.1.1 does not sanitise uploaded SVG files, which could allow users with a role as low as Author to upload a malicious SVG containing XSS payloads.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the AVIF Uploader WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 1.1.1. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly sanitize uploaded SVG files. This lack of sanitization could enable users with an Author role to upload malicious SVGs containing XSS payloads.
Users are advised to update the AVIF Uploader WordPress plugin to version 1.1.1 or later.
