Description
The List category posts WordPress plugin before 0.90.3 does not validate and escape some of its shortcode attributes before outputting them back in a page/post where the shortcode is embed, which could allow users with the contributor role and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WordPress List Category Posts plugin, affecting versions prior to 0.90.3. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly validate and escape certain shortcode attributes before rendering them on pages or posts. This flaw enables users with contributor roles and above to inject malicious scripts that are saved and executed later.
Users are advised to update the List Category Posts WordPress plugin to version 0.90.3 or later.
