Description
Multiple methods in the salt master skip minion token validation. Therefore a misbehaving minion can impersonate another minion.
A vulnerability exists in multiple methods of the Salt master, where minion token validation is improperly handled. This flaw allows a misbehaving minion to impersonate another minion. The issue is present in Salt versions 3006.0 through 3006.11 and in 3007.0 through 3007.3.
Users can upgrade to Salt version 3006.12 or 3007.4, both of which include the necessary fix for this vulnerability.
