Description
EDK2 contains a vulnerability in BIOS where an attacker may cause “Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor” by local access. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will lead to possible information disclosure or escalation of privilege and impact Confidentiality.
A vulnerability exists in EDK2 BIOS versions through 202508, where uncleared password keystrokes in a circular queue can be accessed by local actors. This flaw may lead to unauthorized information disclosure or allow privilege escalation.
Users can upgrade to EDK2 version 202511, where this vulnerability has been patched.
