Description
Improper initialization of CPU cache memory could allow a privileged attacker with hypervisor access to overwrite SEV-SNP guest memory resulting in loss of data integrity.
A vulnerability exists in AMD EPYC and Ryzen Embedded processors due to improper management of cache coherency. This issue could enable a privileged attacker with hypervisor access to overwrite memory of SEV-SNP guests, leading to a loss of data integrity.
Users are advised to update to the latest Platform Initialization (PI) firmware version. Specific update instructions can be obtained from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
