Description
The WE – Testimonial Slider plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Testimonial Author Names in all versions up to, and including, 1.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WE – Testimonial Slider plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.5. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts into testimonial author names. The injected scripts are executed when users view the affected testimonials.
No patch is currently available for this vulnerability. Users are advised to review the vulnerability details and consider uninstalling the affected plugin.
