CVE-2023-54191 Details
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7996: fix memory leak in mt7996_mcu_exit Always purge mcu skb queues in mt7996_mcu_exit routine even if mt7996_firmware_state fails.
A memory leak vulnerability has been addressed in the Linux kernel's MediaTek Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) driver, specifically in the mt7996 component. The issue arises in the 'mt7996_mcu_exit' function, where the MCU SKB queues are not properly cleared if the firmware state check fails. This vulnerability affects the Linux kernel stable tree.
Users can upgrade to the latest version of the Linux kernel where this vulnerability has been fixed. The specific commit addressing this issue is available in the Linux stable tree.
