CVE-2022-49959 Details
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: openvswitch: fix memory leak at failed datapath creation ovs_dp_cmd_new()->ovs_dp_change()->ovs_dp_set_upcall_portids() allocates array via kmalloc. If for some reason new_vport() fails during ovs_dp_cmd_new() dp->upcall_portids must be freed. Add missing kfree. A memory leak vulnerability has been identified in the Linux kernel's Open vSwitch component. The issue arises during the creation of a new datapath, where an array is allocated using kmalloc. If the function new_vport() fails, the allocated memory for upcall_portids is not properly freed, leading to a memory leak. This vulnerability can be observed with the 'dump_state' command, where kmemleak reports an unreferenced object, indicating the memory leak.
