Description
Nagios XI versions prior to 5.7.2 are vulnerable to cross-site scripting (XSS) via the background color settings in Dashboards. Insufficient validation or escaping of user-supplied input may allow an attacker to inject and execute arbitrary script in the context of a victim's browser.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in Nagios XI versions prior to 5.7.2. The issue arises from insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the background color settings of dashboards. This flaw allows an attacker to inject and execute arbitrary scripts in the context of the victim's browser.
Users can upgrade to Nagios XI version 5.7.2 or later to address this vulnerability.
