Description
The WP Mobile Detector plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in resize.php file in versions up to, and including, 3.5. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected sites server which may make remote code execution possible.
A vulnerability allowing arbitrary file uploads has been identified in the WP Mobile Detector plugin for WordPress, affecting versions through 3.5. The issue arises from inadequate file type validation in the resize.php file, enabling unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files to the server. This vulnerability could potentially lead to remote code execution.
Users are advised to update the WP Mobile Detector plugin to version 3.6 or later. If the plugin is not needed, it can be removed or deactivated.
