Description
Microsoft Office 2007 SP3, 2010 SP2, and 2013 SP1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted document, aka "Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability."
A memory corruption vulnerability has been identified in Microsoft Office 2007 SP3, 2010 SP2, and 2013 SP1. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by using a crafted document. The issue arises because the affected versions of Office do not properly manage objects in memory, creating an opportunity for exploitation when a user opens a malicious file.
Users can apply the security update KB3080790 to address this vulnerability. This update is available through the Microsoft Update Catalog. For Microsoft Office 2016, the update is also available via the Microsoft Update service.
