Description
Nagios XI versions prior to 2011R1.9 are vulnerable to cross-site scripting (XSS) via the handling of xiwindow variables used to build permalinks in the web interface. Insufficient validation or escaping of user-supplied input may allow an attacker to inject and execute arbitrary script in the context of a victim's browser.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in Nagios XI versions prior to 2011R1.9. The issue arises from the handling of xiwindow variables, which are used to create permalinks in the web interface. Insufficient validation or escaping of user-supplied input allows for the injection and execution of arbitrary scripts in the context of the victim's browser.
Users can upgrade to Nagios XI version 2011R1.9 or later to address this vulnerability.
